Booking and cancellation terms and conditions
When cancelling a reservation please do so by notifying us at info@bushostelreykjavik.com.
When making a reservation there are two options available. Standard and non-refundable. For both options a credit card is required to finish the reservation. The terms for each option are as follows:
The non-refundable option is to be paid immediately and will be charged on the credit card at the time of booking. When choosing this option it is not possible to claim a refund for the amount paid.
The standard option gives you the flexibility to cancel the reservation up to 24 hours prior check in day. When cancelling a reservation please do so with an email to info@bushostelreykjavik.com.
Group bookings
A group booking is considered 6 guests or more.
When confirming a group booking Bus Hostel Reykjavik will charge a full payment when confirming the reservation.
All group bookings become non refundable 4 weeks prior to arrival for group reservation
In case of large groups, please send an email to info@bushostelreykjavik.com for personalised terms and payment conditions.
Luggage room
Bus Hostel Reykjavik does not take any responsibility of luggage left in our luggage room for storage.
Force majeure
Bus hostel, its staff and management do not accept any liability where the hostel booking could not be fulfilled due to circumstances which we could not, even with due care, have foreseen or avoided. Such events may include, but are not limited to, war, threat of war, civil commotion or strife, hostilities, strikes or other industrial dispute, natural disaster, fire, act of God, terrorist activities, technical problems with transportation, closures of airports, ports and/or ferries, quarantine, epidemics, weather conditions, government action or other events outside our control.
Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

Bus Hostel Reykjavik operates a quality assurance scheme for the hostel, based on internationally agreed standards, and therefore take any complaints received very seriously. If you have cause for complaint during your stay that cannot be satisfied by dealing directly with the hostel managers or if you have a complaint about any aspect of our booking process or services please write or e-mail us, using the contact details provided on this site, and we shall try to resolve the matter quickly and confidentially.
Applicable law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Iceland. The courts of Iceland shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute in connection with such terms and conditions or use of the website.
Site policies, modification and severability
We reserve the right to make changes to our site, policies, and these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time and you should therefore visit www.bushostelreykjavik.com regularly to view recent changes. Card payment security
Using your credit card to make purchases via this site is a secure way to confirm your booking. Bus Hostel Reykjavik has put a number of security steps in place to give you confidence when booking online. The communication of all sensitive information, including personal details and credit card information, is encrypted through the use of our secure server and your web browser. We do not retain live records of credit card information on our internet web servers after the booking and payment transaction have been completed. We do not accept cash payments - credit cards or debit cards only.
